The News Literacy Project
Kim Bowman is an experienced individual who has worked as a Senior Manager of Research at The News Literacy Project. Prior to this role, they held various positions at Virginia Commonwealth University, including Mentoring Program Intern, Adjunct Instructor, Resident Coordinator for Richmond Teacher Residency, and Graduate Assistant. Kim has a strong background in education, with a PhD in Curriculum, Culture, and Change from VCU, an M.S.Ed from the University of Southern Maine, and a BA in History from Randolph-Macon College.

The News Literacy Project empowers educators to teach students the skills they need to be smart, active consumers of news and other information and engaged, informed participants in civic life. It also provides people of all ages with tools and resources that enable them to identify credible information and know what to trust, share and act on.
