Jonathan Paterson

Jonathan Paterson is an accomplished media professional currently serving as Managing Editor and Head of News at The News Movement since January 2022. In addition to this role, Jonathan has been a Visiting Lecturer at City, University of London since October 2021. Previously, Jonathan held significant positions at BBC News, including Head of Video, where responsibilities included leading the team responsible for digital and social media video content, and Deputy Editor/Deployment Editor for World Newsgathering, overseeing international news operations across various platforms. Jonathan holds a Pg Dip in Journalism from City University London and a BA (Joint Hons) in Media & Cultural Studies from Liverpool John Moores University.
