Head Of Health Economic Partnerships at NHS Confederation

Michael Wood has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Michael started their career as a Political Assistant at the European Parliament in 2002 and worked there until 2004. Following this, they joined the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman, where they served as an Executive Assistant to the Deputy Ombudsman from 2004 to 2007, and later as the Deputy Operations Business Manager from 2007 to 2009. Michael then moved on to the NHS Confederation, where they held multiple roles including Senior European Policy Manager from 2009 to 2016, NHS Local Growth Advisor from 2015 onwards, and currently as the Head of Health Economic Partnerships. In 2017, they joined the Higher Education Funding Council for England as the Deputy Local Growth Consultant, where they worked until 2018.

Michael Wood attended Loughborough University from 1998 to 2001, where they obtained a BA (hons) degree in Politics with Economics.
