Head, Corporate Services at Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG)

Ogechi Obiorah has diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Ogechi currently serves as the Head of Corporate Services at the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), a position they have held since September 2020. Prior to this, they worked as a Consultant and Senior Associate at Chancellor Chambers, where they reviewed and prepared legal documents, provided advice on policies and procedures, and negotiated contracts. Ogechi also worked as a Research Manager at the Christopher Kolade Centre for Research in Leadership and Ethics @ Lagos Business School from 2016 to 2020. Ogechi has also been involved in global advocacy for women's economic empowerment as a Global Community Champion for Women's Economic Empowerment at UN Women Knowledge Gateway. Ogechi has previous experience at Barclays Bank, where they handled complaint handling management and resolved customer queries. Ogechi also worked as a Policy and Research Officer at the Next Step Initiative. Earlier in their career, Ogechi worked as a Legal Counsel/Solicitor/Advocate at Ibrahim Saad & Co and a Legal Officer at the Nigerian Cybercrime Working Group.

Ogechi Obiorah is an individual with a strong educational background in law and information technology and telecommunications law. Ogechi completed their Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree in Law at Nnamdi Azikiwe University from 1999 to 2004. Following this, they attended the Nigerian Law School in Lagos from 2005 to 2006, where they obtained their BL degree in Law. Ogechi then pursued further studies at the University of Strathclyde, where they completed a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in Information Technology and Telecommunications Law from 2009 to 2010.

In addition to their formal education, Ogechi has obtained a certification in the "Management Development Program: Develop Your Managerial Mindset" online certificate program from Emeritus in December 2022.
