Okenna Onyelu is a law professional with diverse experience in intellectual property and legal sectors. Currently serving as Co-Convener at The Intellectual Property Society since April 2022, Okenna is involved in publishing educational content and conducting annual seminars for undergraduate IP enthusiasts. Previous roles include Legal Extern at Indemnity Partners and Legal Intern at G. Elias, where contributions to legal briefs and research were significant. Okenna also served in the Elizade University Law Students Representative Council for two terms, focusing on constitutional development, and contributed to legal internships at Lekan Bamidele & Co. and Idowu Olaniyi & Co., gaining practical insights into contract reviews and court proceedings. Okenna holds a Bachelor of Laws from Elizade University and is pursuing further studies at the Nigerian Law School.

The Nigeria Institute of Chartered Arbitrators (NICArb) is the premier arbitration institute in Nigeria founded in 1979 under the leadership of former Attorney General of Nigeria and former judge of the World Court at The Hague, Judge Bola Ajibola, SAN, KBE and duly incorporated in 1988 under the Companies Act as a legal entity Limited by Guarantee. The Nigerian Institute’s mission is to promote the administration and development of arbitration and Alternative Dispute (ADR) practice in Nigeria with members drawn from diverse vocational backgrounds including the bar and the bench and other professions; Academia, Accounting, Banking, Construction, Engineering, Public Service and a host of others.
