Manabu Sawa

Manabu Sawa is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in project and asset finance, currently serving as Managing Director and Head of Project & Asset Finance at Norinchukin Bank, Australia, since January 2018. In this role, Manabu oversees debt investments in the Australian project finance and infrastructure sector while contributing expertise in multicultural management and Australian management styles. Previously, Manabu held the position of Executive Director and Co-Head of Project and Asset Finance at Norinchukin Australia, playing a crucial role in establishing the foundation of the company’s Australian project finance business. Prior to joining Norinchukin, Manabu spent a decade at Mizuho, where roles included Chief Manager of Project Finance and SVP of Global Structured Finance, and began a career at the Japan Bank for International Cooperation as Deputy Director. Manabu Sawa holds a Master of Public Policy with a focus on Applied Economics from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Keio University.
