Nilu Amali

Nilu Amali is an accomplished apparel designer with extensive experience in the outdoor industry. Currently serving as an Apparel Designer at The North Face since October 2021, Nilu previously held roles as an Associate Designer and Technical Designer at Columbia Sportswear Company, where contributions included collaboration on technical development and the production of accurate technical illustrations. In addition to experience in design, Nilu has engaged in leadership roles such as the Design Committee and Social Media Organizer for Portland Textile Month. Other notable positions include Production Manager and Junior Designer at ILOVEHANDLES, where responsibilities encompassed product development and client interactions, as well as internships that focused on textile design and education. Nilu holds a Bachelor of Science in Product Design from the University of Oregon.
