As Managing Director of Capital Markets, he is responsible for managing all of The NRP Group’s property-related capital needs.
Currall manages all the debt and equity relationships required to finance NRP’s luxury, moderate-income, and affordable housing pipelines, from inception through closing, construction, lease-up, and stabilization or disposition. He has been instrumental in transforming NRP’s capital platform from a regional affordable housing player into a national platform for institutional capital seeking affordable or luxury assets and best-in-class development returns. Since 2008, Currall has been key to more than 200 closings, representing over $6 billion in total capitalization. Since 2010, closings represent approximately $3.5 billion in construction financing, $870 million in permanent financing, $1.8 billion in equity capital, and over 30,000 apartment units.
Currall also supervises NRP’s real estate underwriting function, navigating projects through the firm’s intensive feasibility analysis and investment committee approval process, before securing the capital required to close the transaction. He also manages the transactions of NaviStone Partners, a financial affiliate of NRP that invests in tax-exempt bonds or tax credits.
