Scott Roecker

Vice President For Nuclear Materials Security at Nuclear Threat Initiative

Scott Roecker has a diverse work experience in the field of nuclear security and threat reduction. Scott currently holds the position of Vice President for Nuclear Materials Security at the Nuclear Threat Initiative. Prior to this, they served as the Deputy Vice President and Senior Director at the same organization. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as the Director for Nuclear Material Removal at the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). Before that, they held the position of Director for Nuclear Threat Reduction at the National Security Council from 2014 to 2017. In addition, Scott Roecker worked at the NNSA from 2004 to 2014, where they served as the Deputy Director, Senior Policy Advisor, and Foreign Affairs Specialist. Scott began their career as a Legislative Assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives in 1998.

Scott Roecker received their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from the University of Minnesota - Carlson School of Management in the years 1993 to 1997. Scott then pursued a Master's degree in International Affairs from the Elliott School of International Affairs from 2003 to 2006.
