Madeline Barone

Madeline Barone has been working in the energy and environmental sectors for the past five years. In 2021, they began working as a Paralegal at Barone Defense Firm. In 2020, they were an Energy Advisor for DNV, where they represented client DTE Energy in the Small Business Program to advise small businesses in the Detroit area on how to be more energy efficient and environmentally sustainable. In 2019, they were an Energy Efficiency & Conservation Specialist and Retrocommissioning Energy Efficiency, Conservation, and Environmental Stewardship Intern at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. In 2018, they were the Director and President of Eco-Olympics, Founder and President of Epsilon Eta at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Staff Writer - Energy Section at The Rising, Solar Energy Intern at Midwest Renewable Energy Association, Print Writer, Web Writer, Summer Writer, and Chief Campus Editor at The Black Sheep, and Environmental Justice Advocate at Clean Water Action. In 2023, they began working as a Content Contributor at The Nudge, where they pitch, records, and edits short form media of niche plan ideas for things to do around Chicago.

Madeline Barone's education history includes graduating from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science/Intradisciplinary Psychology in 2019, attending the University of Michigan for a semester in 2018 to study Conservation Biology/Psychology, and currently attending Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law. Madeline also attended Stoney Creek High School from 2012 to 2016. Additionally, they obtained a Youth Mental Health First Aid certification from Mental Health First Aid USA in June 2017.
