Sin-Tung Chiu

Sin-Tung Chiu has extensive experience in music education and performance, serving as the Menuhin Violin Instructor and Director of the Nueva String Ensemble at The Nueva School since September 1991. In this role, Sin-Tung teaches violin to both Menuhin and non-Menuhin students, coaches chamber music, and leads rehearsals and concerts. Since September 1988, Sin-Tung has been a violin instructor at the San Francisco Community Music Center, focusing on low-income students. Previous experience includes being a founding violinist with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra and holding positions as Visiting Associate Professor of Violin at Texas Christian University and Co-Concertmaster of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.
