John Barnett

John Barnett currently serves as the Director of Scouting Administration and Assistant to the General Manager for the Las Vegas Raiders since May 2022. Prior to this role, Barnett was the Director of Football Operations at Louisiana Tech University and Eastern Kentucky University, from April 2021 to May 2022 and March 2017 to April 2021, respectively. Additional experience includes positions at the University of Kansas Athletics as Assistant Director of Football Operations, and various roles at The University of Southern Mississippi, including Director and Assistant Director of Football Operations as well as Assistant Recruiting Coordinator. Earlier experience includes coaching roles at Camden Catholic High School and Blacksburg High School. John Barnett holds a Master’s degree in Sport Management from The University of Southern Mississippi and a Bachelor of Science in Human Development from Virginia Tech.
