Sophie Gilham

Sophie Gilham has extensive experience in sustainability and environmental compliance. Sophie began their career in 2015 as Commercial Operations Assistant Manager at Recycling Technologies Ltd. Sophie was later promoted to Commercial Operations Manager and then to Head Of Sustainability. In their role as Head Of Sustainability, they were responsible for Environmental Compliance of their product and process, while also ensuring Sustainability was embedded across the entire business. Her team's activities included Environmental Permitting, REACH, End of Waste, ISO14001, Life Cycle Assessment, technology decarbonisation, carbon accounting, and Environmental Social Governance reporting. In 2022, they joined Ocean Bottle as Head of Impact.

Sophie Gilham obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Geography and Environmental Management from the University of the West of England between 2012 and 2015. Sophie then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Environmental Consultancy from the same university between 2015 and 2016. In 2017, they completed a Certificate in Business Sustainability Management from the Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership at the University of Cambridge.
