David Higgins

David Higgins is an experienced professional in the field of environmental engineering and sustainability, currently serving as the Analysis & Performance Lead - Asia and River Survey Engineer at The Ocean Cleanup since August 2019. In this role, David focuses on understanding and addressing plastic pollution in South East Asian rivers by leveraging local data and expert insights. Additionally, David holds the position of River Engineer at HIG Research & Solutions and previously worked as a Business Development Associate at DesignPro Renewables, where responsibilities included the technical evaluation of hydrokinetic turbine deployment sites. Earlier experience includes serving as a Field Test Technician at GKinetic Energy Ltd, where David contributed to prototype testing procedures.
