Renata Correia

Renata Correia is a seasoned professional in the fields of environmental engineering and data analysis, currently serving as the Head of Analysis & Performance for Rivers at The Ocean Cleanup since August 2019, where previous roles included Deputy Head of Data & Engineering and Senior River Survey Engineer. Prior to this, Renata worked as a Trading Support Analyst at Petrobras Netherlands BV and as a Research Engineer and Project Engineer at the Federal University of Parana, contributing to significant projects with Brazilian governmental agencies. Early experiences include an internship at Institutos Lactec, developing a Flooding Alert System, and research positions at The University of Sheffield and CNPq focused on fluid dynamics and wastewater treatment. Renata holds a Master of Science in Numerical Modelling applied to Fluid Dynamics and Hydraulics and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering Technology from Universidade Federal do Paraná.
