Peter Ashford

Peter Ashford currently serves as General Counsel and Head of Legal at The Office for Environmental Protection, a role held since October 2020. Prior to this position, Peter held the title of Senior Managing Lawyer in Flood Risk & Planning at the Environment Agency from July 2013 to January 2022. Additionally, Peter acted as Project Executive for the European Network of Prosecutors for the Environment from January 2014 to November 2020 and was a Senior Associate at Osborne Clarke from March 2006 to July 2013. Peter's academic background includes a BSc in Biology from the University of Bristol, a Graduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course from the University of the West of England, and a Master of Laws in Environmental Law from Aberystwyth University.
