Jason Reece

Vice Provost For Urban Research & Community Engagement at The Ohio State University

Jason Reece is an accomplished academic and urban planner, currently serving as an Associate Professor and Vice Provost for Urban Research & Community Engagement at The Ohio State University since August 2016. Their research emphasizes social equity in planning policy and law, fair housing, health equity, and asset-based community development. Prior to this, Jason held the position of Senior Associate Director at The Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity and worked as a Regional Planner for the Northwest Michigan Council of Governments. Jason has a strong foundation in geographic information systems and planning from roles at The Ohio State University and various planning departments. Academic credentials include a PhD and a Master’s degree in City and Regional Planning from The Ohio State University, as well as dual Bachelor’s degrees in Geography and Urban and Regional Planning from Miami University.
