Wes Payne

Wes Payne is a dedicated and multifaceted professional currently working as a Recruiting Intern for the Miami University Department of Athletics, where responsibilities include assisting with recruiting logistics and guiding football recruits. Alongside this role, Wes serves as an Admissions Assistant, providing support and information to prospective students and families. As a Wilks Fellow, Wes focuses on enhancing leadership opportunities for peers through a pre-semester program for first-year students. Experience in journalism is demonstrated through a position as a Sports Reporter for The Miami Student. Previous roles include serving as a Resident Advisor for the Governor's Scholars Program, fulfilling leadership roles within the Associated Student Government, and engaging with prospective students as a Campus Tour Guide. Wes holds a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management/Journalism from Miami University and has a background in customer service and management from various positions.
