Jacob Unruh has extensive experience in sports journalism, currently serving as the Deputy Sports Editor at The Oklahoman since August 2011, where responsibilities include overseeing college athletics coverage and mentoring writers. Previously, Jacob covered Oklahoma State football, men's basketball, and baseball, and reported on high school sports and the OKC Dodgers. Prior to The Oklahoman, experience includes roles at Lawton Publishing Company as a Sports Writer and at various publications including The Northeastern and Tulsa World in various editorial and writing capacities. Jacob holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication/Media Studies from Northeastern State University, obtained in 2008.
