Sean McCartan

Sean McCartan has extensive experience in the recruitment industry. Sean is currently the CEO of The Onset, a recruitment agency that specializes in product and engineering roles. Sean founded The Onset in 2015 and has been leading the company since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked as the General Manager of Talent International in New South Wales from 2013 to 2015. Sean also held the position of Director of Technology at Charterhouse Partnership from 2008 to 2013. Before that, they were the Regional Manager of Technology at Experis from 2006 to 2008 and an Account Manager/Team Lead at Elan IT from 2003 to 2006.

Sean McCartan attended Griffith College Dublin from 1994 to 1998, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Studies. Prior to that, they attended St Mary's Grammar School in Belfast from 1987 to 1994, where they completed their A Levels in English, Economics, and Politics. In addition to their formal education, Sean obtained a certification in Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn in October 2022.
