Veena Kannan is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and product management. Currently serving as a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at The OpenNMS Group, Veena is responsible for leading full stack product development and customer support for the OpenNMS flagship products, Horizon and Meridian. Previous roles include Technical Leader/Architect at Cisco, focusing on operational capabilities for hybrid cloud environments, and Senior Technical Marketing Engineer at NetApp, where contributions included technical collateral and customer advocacy for ONTAP Select. Veena also managed software engineering teams at Tridium (a Honeywell company), leading the development of the Niagara Cloud platform, and held various positions at NetApp and other companies, building a solid foundation in both technical and managerial aspects of software development. Veena holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Colorado Denver and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Vellore Institute of Technology.
