Renee LaJeunesse is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in family support and social work. Currently serving as Team Leader and Family Visitor with The Opportunity Alliance since January 2021, Renee has previously co-directed and taught at Little Graces Playgroup from August 2014 to August 2017. Early career roles include Chief of Citywide Recreation and Youth & Family Coordinator for the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation (2004-2011), along with various internships in social work at Morris Heights Health Center and Bedford Stuyvesant Community Mental Health Center. Additionally, Renee has experience as a Research Assistant with Safe Horizon and as Communications Coordinator at the Society for Women's Health Research. Educationally, Renee holds a Master of Social Work from Columbia University (2002-2004) and a Bachelor's degree from Colby College (1995-1999).

The Opportunity Alliance (TOA) is a dynamic, results-focused Community Action Agency providing approximately 50 integrated community-based and clinical programs serving more than 20,000 people annually throughout the state of Maine. With over 50 years of experience, TOA draws from a comprehensive set of programs which address issues such as mental health, substance use, homelessness, lack of basic needs, and access to community supports.
