Fellowship Trained Orthopedic Surgeon Specializing In Joint Replacement Surgery at The Orthopaedic Group

Michael Blackmer is a Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Surgeon currently specializing in joint replacement surgery at The Orthopaedic Group, PC since 2020. In addition, Michael serves as the Director of Orthopedic Surgery at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. Michael's expertise includes anterior approach total hip arthroplasty, computer and robotic-assisted joint replacement, minimally-invasive surgery, and complex reconstruction and revision of total joint replacements. Educationally, Michael has completed an orthopedic surgery residency at Michigan State University and an adult reconstruction fellowship at the University of Chicago, alongside obtaining a Doctor of Osteopathy from Nova Southeastern University and a Master of Science in Molecular Medicine from the University of South Florida. Previous experience also includes roles in orthopedic surgery residency and clinical instruction, as well as research at Moffitt Cancer Center.
