Katherine LaPlante is a seasoned professional in donor experience and event management, currently serving as Senior Officer at The Ottawa Hospital Foundation since January 2021, where leadership of a three-member team focuses on planning and executing large-scale donor events. Previous roles include Donor Experience Officer, where Katherine managed signature events such as the President’s Breakfast and Dinner, and Coordinator of Philanthropy Operations, optimizing processes in stakeholder relations and stewardship. Additionally, Katherine founded The Sunroom, an online shop specializing in low and non-alcoholic beverages, and held various positions in administrative and communications capacities within organizations such as Polytechnics Canada, CauseForce, LLC, and Interval House. Katherine holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Fundraising Management from Humber College and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Carleton University.

We work hard to build lifelong relationships with our donors. In 2018-2019, we transferred $17.4 million to The Ottawa Hospital for research and care and we are committed to being accountable to all our stakeholders; utilizing each dollar donated efficiently and effectively; communicating openly and regularly; and providing exemplary governance and accountability practices.
