Sara Prendergast serves as the Donor Recognition and Stewardship Officer at The Ottawa Hospital Foundation, where responsibilities include planning recognition for philanthropic gifts within a $500 million fundraising campaign and managing donor stewardship activities across multiple hospital campuses. Previously, Sara held roles at the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation, starting as a Donor Relations Associate and advancing to a Donor Engagement Associate, where significant achievements included enhancing donor recognition programs and leading successful fundraising events. Sara also worked as a Team Leader at Reitmans Canada Ltée/Ltd and as an Event Specialist Consultant for a major fundraising event. Sara completed an Ontario College Graduate Certificate in Meeting and Event Planning from Algonquin College.

In 2018-2019, we transferred $17.4 million to The Ottawa Hospital for research and care and we are committed to being accountable to all our stakeholders; utilizing each dollar donated efficiently and effectively; communicating openly and regularly; and providing exemplary governance and accountability practices.
