Rangika Kuruppu

Rangika Kuruppu has a variety of work experience. Rangika first worked at Gateway School of Computing as an Assistant Lecturer from September 2012 to December 2013. Rangika then joined Lyceum International School as a Teacher and Chief examiner for the subject Information and Communication Technology from January 2013 to July 2014. Rangika also worked as a Visiting Lecturer at Horizon City Campus from June 2013 to July 2014. Currently, they are a Learning Leader (Head of the Department) and Teacher at The Overseas School of Colombo since August 2014.

Rangika Kuruppu is currently pursuing an MPhil/PhD in Information Technology and Education at the University of Colombo, a program they began in 2022. Prior to this, they completed a Master's Degree in Information Systems Management at the University of Colombo from 2014 to 2015 and a Postgraduate diploma in Education from 2020 to 2022 at the same university. Rangika earned their Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Management from the National Institute of Business Management from 2009 to 2012. Additionally, Rangika obtained a Certificate in Computer Applications from the International Computer Driving Licence foundation in 2009. Rangika completed their high school education in the Science stream at Visakha Vidyalaya.

In terms of additional certifications, Rangika has obtained the following: Digital Citizenship and Safety from Google in November 2021, Google Certified Educator Level 2 from Google in February 2020, Google Certified Educator - Level 1 from Google in January 2020, and Child protection from ECIS, the Educational Collaborative for International Schools in December 2019.
