The Owl Centre
Sarah Barlow is a highly specialist Autism Practitioner at The Owl Centre, delivering exceptional Autism assessment and post-diagnostic services since September 2022. Prior to this role, Sarah held positions as a Specialist Autism Practitioner and Specialist Speech and Language Therapist at National Star, where support for young adults with complex communication needs was a focus. Experience also includes a variety of roles such as Sessional Support Worker at Headway Gloucestershire, Community Support Worker at The Action Group, and previous support roles for brain injury survivors. Educational qualifications include a PGDip in Speech and Language Therapy from Queen Margaret University and a BSc in Psychology from the University of Birmingham.

The Owl Centre is a UK-wide company that provides high quality, evidence-based and reliable assessments and interventions for children, young people and adults. The Owl Centre was started in 2011 in Oxfordshire by renowned speech and language therapist Nicola Lathey, author of the best-selling book ’Small Talk’. It has continued to grow over the years and now provides services all across the UK. The Owl Centre values and appreciates the roles and importance of many disciplines and currently offers speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, clinical psychology, play, drama, music and art therapy as well as psychotherapy and counselling. The Owl Centre is well known for their specialist assessments for autism spectrum conditions, ADHD, sensory processing, dyslexia and dyspraxia. The Owl Centre is proud of its professional and friendly approach, and always puts the needs of the client first. The Owl Centre has very close links to NHS services across the UK and values to the importance of a collaborative approach with other professionals. As a result, The Owl Centre is currently commissioned by several large NHS Trusts across the UK to manage their large autism and ADHD waiting lists for paediatric and adult services.
