Karen Starr

Karen Starr is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in library and information science. At The Rivers School since September 2018, Karen serves as both Archivist and Librarian. Concurrently, a role as Interim Upper School Librarian has been held at The Winsor School since July 2017. Karen has been involved with the Pan-Massachusetts Challenge since 2001, currently acting as Head of Rider Registration. Previous experience includes a long tenure at Thayer Academy from 2001 to August 2017, where Karen held multiple titles, including Library Director. Academic credentials include a B.A. in English from Tufts University and multiple graduate degrees from Simmons University and Boston College, encompassing areas such as Library and Information Science, Education, and Educational Media Design.
