Mateusz Janik is a seasoned news reporter with extensive experience in journalism. Currently serving as a News Reporter at The Pantagraph since April 2022, Janik previously worked as a Breaking News Reporter at Herald & Review and as a Senior Staff Reporter at The Columbia Chronicle. During time at The Columbia Chronicle, Janik reported on a wide range of topics, contributing multiple stories weekly to the prominent non-daily student newspaper. Additionally, Janik gained experience as a Reporter for AustinTalks, focusing on local news coverage for the Austin community in Chicago. Janik holds an undergraduate degree in Journalism from Columbia College Chicago, earned between 2017 and 2021.
