The Parkside School
Adaora Achufusi, MA, LCSW, is a seasoned social worker with extensive experience in educational and treatment settings. Currently employed at The Parkside School since September 2020, Adaora previously held roles as a Treatment Coordinator at the League Education and Treatment Center and as a Social Worker at JCCA. Adaora's expertise is grounded in strong academic credentials, including a Master of Social Work from New York University, a Master's Degree in Child Development from Sarah Lawrence College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and French from Amherst College. Additional experience includes various positions in social work internships, volunteer work, and youth mentorship roles, highlighting a commitment to child welfare and development.

The Parkside School welcomes elementary school children from diverse ethnic, social and economic backgrounds who have a range of language-based learning difficulties. We serve the whole child by offering a thoughtfully designed, comprehensive array of academic and support services. Our goal is to enable our students to pursue learning in their areas of strength, to acquire tools and strategies to progress in their areas of challenge and to develop respect and understanding for themselves and others.
