Carolyn Weiss has had a variety of leadership roles throughout their career. Carolyn is currently serving as the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for The Pension Boards–United Church of Christ, Inc. Carolyn has also worked as the Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer for The New York Community Trust and the Chief Investment and Financial Officer for FJC: A Foundation of Philanthropic Funds. Other notable positions include Chief Financial Officer for The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust and Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Deutsche Bank. Carolyn has also served as an Advisory Board Member for Zicklin School of Business and Markets Group. Additionally, they have experience in education as an Adjunct Accounting Professor at Kean University.
Carolyn Weiss has an MBA in Accountancy from Baruch College. Carolyn also has a BA in German from Penn State University. In addition to their formal education, they have attended the German Summer Language Institute at Middlebury College. Carolyn has obtained several certifications, including passing Level 1 of the CFA exam from the CFA Institute in June 2011 and becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in November 1989, awarded by the state of New York.
