Gary Leuty is a Software Engineer at LinQuest, with prior experience as a Research Scientist at UES, Inc. and the Air Force Research Laboratory. At UES, Inc., Gary utilized computational simulations to explore the assembly of super-hydrophobic membranes in marine bacteria, focusing on protein structure and interactions within saline environments. As an NRC Fellow at the Air Force Research Laboratory, Gary optimized simulation parameters for two-dimensional materials and investigated protein binding interactions to inform biosensor device development. Educationally, Gary holds a Ph.D. in Polymer Science from The University of Akron, an MS in Physics, and a BS in Mathematics from Southern Illinois University, as well as a BS in Physics from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
