Marie Stewart

Appointed by Foundation/Trust 08/12/2010. Responsibility for Equality & Inclusion and SEND with ES; Every Child Matters Committee Due for re-election: December 2022 Marie is a psychologist and is the Director of Taylor-Stewart Associates, consultants specializing in Diversity/Inclusion and the management of change. She has wide experience of work in these areas and is the Link Governor with special responsibility for Equality and Inclusion at the academy. She is particularly committed to supporting the academy’s work to ensure that every member of the diverse student population has access to rich, supportive educational opportunities to prepare them to make a positive contribution in the future. Marie has a Teachers Certificate with distinction in theory of education, BSc (Hons) in Psychology with subsidiary Sociology and PhD in Psychology from University of London. She has two honorary degrees: Doctor of the University from University of East London; and Bachelor of Education from Roehampton University. She was appointed an MBE for services to education, diversity and equal opportunities.
