Michael Bruton is an experienced journalist with a career spanning several decades in sports reporting and editorial roles. Since 2004, Michael has served as the editor of the Sunday edition at The Philadelphia Tribune, overseeing reporters and photographers, writing editorials, coordinating news and sports coverage, and maintaining quality control. Prior to this, from 1983 to 2004, Michael worked as a sports reporter and columnist for the Philadelphia Inquirer, covering major sports events including the NFL and Olympics, and contributing a weekly NFL column from 1999 to 2004. Michael began their career at the San Antonio Express-News as a sports reporter from 1976 to 1983, covering local teams such as the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Cowboys. Michael holds a B.A. in journalism from Texas A&M University, where attendance spanned from 1970 to 1974, and graduated salutatorian from E.J. Campbell High School.
