Eddie Mize

Eddie Mize is a nationally recognized information security leader and CSO and VP of Information Security for The Pinnacle Group. Over his two decades of contribution to the InfoSec field, Eddie has built a global reputation for his insight into the cybersecurity landscape, talent for developing and executing strategies that counter the latest threats, and skill at translating complex security concepts into language that business executives and other non-technical personnel can grasp.

As a cybersecurity practitioner, Eddie is well-known as an incisive security analyst with years of experience building and leading information security teams. His experience includes penetration testing and red team leadership in a wide variety of industry verticals, compliance assessment and remediations for HIPIAA, HITECH, PCI/DSS, and other blue team consulting services, including security program management, gap analysis, and non-adversarial assessment.

In addition to his work as a cybersecurity defender, Eddie’s combination of experience and personality has made him an in-demand speaker and thought leader in the cybersecurity field. He has served on Cisco’s Enterprise Advisory Board for Information Security, which includes appearances at the company’s annual CiscoLIVE event, and contributions to one of the largest information security events in the United States, the annual DefCon conference held in Las Vegas. Eddie has been widely published in leading information security media, such as Network World, Pentest Magazine, and Hakin9 Magazine, and regularly appears in mainstream technology media as a subject matter expert on cybersecurity.
