Chris Ellis is an accomplished philanthropic professional with extensive experience in grantmaking, community partnerships, and social innovation. Currently serving as a Program Officer at The Pittsburgh Foundation, Chris manages a diverse grantmaking portfolio focused on issues such as child care, food access, and voter engagement. Chris has also contributed to the launch of the Grantmaking for Racial Justice Fund. As a Fellow at ABFE, Chris is actively involved in enhancing leadership within the philanthropic sector for Black communities. Previous roles include Social Innovation Strategist at Fourth Economy, Partnership Director at United Way of Salt Lake, and various positions within the State of Colorado and El Pomar Foundation. Chris holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Spanish from Colorado College.
