Michael Yonas is a seasoned professional in the field of public health, currently serving as Vice President for Public Health, Research, and Learning at The Pittsburgh Foundation since July 2014. Prior experience includes a position as Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh from July 2007 to May 2013 and Research Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from July 2006 to June 2007. Michael Yonas earned a Doctorate of Public Health from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and possesses a Master's of Public Health in Maternal and Child Health from the same institution. Additionally, a post-doctoral fellowship in Community-Based Participatory Research and Practice was completed at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill through the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. Early education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Fine/Studio Arts from Dickinson College and attendance at Carnegie Mellon University for Fine Arts/Design.
