Alan Meijer

Alan Meijer has extensive work experience in the field of agronomy and precision agriculture. Alan is currently working at The Plant Pathways Company since 2022, where they hold the position of Agronomy Manager. Prior to this, they were an Agronomist at the same company. Before joining The Plant Pathways Company, Meijer worked as the Director of Precision Services at Meherrin Agricultural & Chemical Company from 2015 to 2022. Alan also has experience working at North Carolina State University, where they served as an Extension Associate for Tillage and Soil Management from 2006 to 2015 and as an Agricultural Research Technician from 1996 to 2006. Meijer's earlier experience includes a role as a GIS Consultant at John Deere Ag Management Solutions, where they successfully implemented a remote sensing program for predicting cotton height using aerial infrared photography.

Alan Meijer has an extensive education history that includes multiple degrees and certifications. Alan obtained a Ph.D. in Soil Science from NC State University in 2013. Prior to that, they earned a Master of Science degree in Crop Science and GIS from North Carolina State University, which they pursued from 2000 to 2004. Alan Meijer also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Geography, which they completed at Redeemer University from 1990 to 1994.

In addition to their degrees, Alan Meijer also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Geographic Information Systems from North Carolina State University in the year 2002.
