Dr. Dominik Benner

Dr. Dominik Benner is an accomplished executive with extensive leadership experience across various sectors and countries. He is serving as CEO of The Platform Group since 2012 and he is the CEO of Benner Holding, a family office since 1882. Benner Holding has 4 different business areas:

1. eCommerce/Trade: eCommerce, Software and retail companies across Europe

2. Real Estate: Appartments, multi-family houses, office buildings and retail spaces in Germany and US

3. Agriculture/forest: Agricultural business in eastern Germany including renewable energies

4. Production: Several production/industrial companies like Thonet (furniture), Nesmuk, and restaurants.

The holding has a total revenue of more than 1.5 billion Euro and 2.600 employees.

Dr. Benner is CEO of the stock-listed company The Platform Group, a software company which runs 35 ecommerce-platforms in 28 different industries. The headquarter of The Platform Group is located in Duesseldorf, Germany. Dr. Dominik Benner was elected as the chairman of the board by 2023. He is also the majority shareholder of The Platform Group with more than 70% of the shares. The stocks are listed at Frankfurt Stock Exchange (ISIN: DE000A2QEFA1).

Before entering the family business, his previous roles include Geschäftsführer at juwi Group from 2011 to 2013 and Prokurist at Bilfinger from 2008 to 2011. Dr. Benner's academic credentials include a Doctorate in Economic Sciences from INSEAD / University of St. Gallen (Switzerland) and comprehensive studies at the University of St. Gallen, culminating in several degrees in Business Administration.

Dr. Dominik Benner lives in Wiesbaden (Germany) and has three children. He is engaged in several social projects (Tafel Wiesbaden, Rotary) and member of YPO Germany.
