Brianna McCarthy

Brianna McCarthy, CPA, has a diverse work experience in the field of accounting and finance. Brianna began their career as a Pathway to Success Participant at BDO USA, LLP in 2013. Brianna then participated in various leadership and development programs at Grant Thornton LLP, Deloitte, PwC, and McGladrey in the same year. In 2014, Brianna worked as an Audit Intern at KPMG US before becoming a Graduate Assistant at James Madison University. Brianna joined KPMG US again in 2015 as an Audit Associate and later transitioned to the role of Senior Audit Associate. In 2019, Brianna joined The Port of Virginia as a Financial Reporting Specialist and eventually assumed the position of Financial Reporting Analyst III in January 2021. Their extensive experience across different organizations demonstrates their expertise in financial reporting and auditing.

Brianna McCarthy, CPA, has a strong educational background in accounting. Brianna obtained a Master of Science in Accounting from James Madison University in 2015. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) from James Madison University in 2014, with a specialization in accounting. Additionally, they successfully obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the VBOA - Virginia Board of Accountancy in November 2016.
