John Asbury

John C. Asbury was appointed to the VPA Board by Governor Northam to serve a five-year term effective July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2024. Mr. Asbury is President and Chief Executive Officer of Atlantic Union Bankshares Corporation, a Virginia-based regional bank, with the headquarters based in Richmond. Mr. Asbury’s banking career spans 30 years. He is very active in the community and banking industry through various non-profit board memberships such as The Virginia Chamber of Commerce, Chamber RVA, Virginia Foundation for Independent Colleges, The Virginia Bankers Association, and various industry organizations. Mr. Asbury is a member of the VPA Board’s Finance and Audit Committee.
