Sara Burnett

Sara Burnett has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Sara started their career in 2008 as the Head Coach at Old Dominion Soccer Club, where they served until 2010. From 2010 to 2011, they worked as a Leadership Coordinator at LEAD Hampton Roads, focusing on building and strengthening regional leadership. In 2011, Sara joined MSC Mediterranean Shipping Co. S.A. as an Imports specialist until 2013. Since then, they have been working at The Port of Virginia. Sara started as an Analyst in 2013 and progressed to Manager, Commercial Pricing in 2017. Sara served as the Director of Commercial Pricing from 2021 to 2022 and later became the Director of Operational Expense & Execution. Sara currently holds the position of Director, Terminal Strategies & Solutions at The Port of Virginia.

Sara Burnett earned their Executive MBA from William & Mary - Raymond A. Mason School of Business in 2023. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at Francis Marion University from 2002 to 2006, where they obtained a degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing.
