Paul Schock has had a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Paul started their career in 1981 as the VP & Manager of the Commercial Loan Department at First Bank of South Dakota. Afterward, they worked as the CFO at American Western Corporation in 1988. In 1989, they co-founded Bluestem Capital Co, where they served as the Managing Partner until 2005. Following that, they joined VeraSun Energy as the SVP of Corporate Development and a Board Member until 2008. In 2008, they founded and became the CEO of The Prairie Club, a company focused on golf and hospitality. In 2010, they became a Partner at Bird Dog Equity Partners, LLC, a private equity firm prioritizing people-first investment decisions.
Paul Schock attended Stanford University from 1978 to 1979, where they studied Pre-Medicine. Paul then transferred to Augustana University (SD) and received a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree from 1979 to 1981.
