Carola Schueller is an experienced Objects Conservator at The Preservation Society of Newport County since March 2017, specializing in the conservation of furniture and wooden objects, including gilded and painted surfaces. Previously, Carola worked at ARTEX Fine Art Services as a Crate Shop Technician, and as a Freelance Furniture Conservator with notable projects for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and others, focusing on gilding consolidation and treatment of historic paints. Carola's extensive experience also includes roles as a Furniture Conservator at the Victoria and Albert Museum and as a Sherman Fairchild Fellow at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Educational qualifications include a Diplom-Restauratorin in Historic Preservation and Conservation from HAWK - University of Applied Science and Arts, and a cabinet maker degree from Bruno Behrendt GmbH.
