Steve Merker

Vice President, Corporate & Community Partnerships at The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation

Steve Merker's work experience spans over several roles and companies. Steve began their career in 1996 as the Vice President & Director of Events at TSI, where they worked until 2003. From 2003 to 2007, they served as the Executive Director at the Ontario Cycling Association. In 2007, they joined The Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation, starting as Manager, Business Development. Steve quickly advanced through the ranks, holding positions such as Director, Senior Director, and Vice President of Business Development. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Corporate & Community Partnerships at the foundation, where they are responsible for engaging and serving thousands of volunteer supporters through various fundraising events. Steve Merker is also the co-founder of several successful events, such as the Ride to Conquer Cancer and Road Hockey to Conquer Cancer.

Steve Merker attended McMaster University from 1987 to 1992. Steve pursued an Honours degree in Economics & Kinesiology during this time. In 2013, they enrolled in a program at Harvard Business School called Social Enterprise Executive Management, focusing on Non Profit / Social Enterprise Management.
