Bart van Ark

Bart van Ark is an esteemed economist recognized for expertise in international comparative productivity measurement, innovation, technology, and digital transformation. Currently serving as Managing Director at The Productivity Institute and a Professor of Productivity Studies at Alliance Manchester Business School, Bart van Ark's extensive research spans economic growth, development economics, economic history, and international economics and business. Additionally, Bart holds prominent positions as a Senior Advisor and Chief Economist at The Conference Board, as well as an Honorary Professor in Economics and Professor in Economic Development, Technological Change and Growth at the University of Groningen. Throughout a distinguished career, Bart has also contributed as a Fellow and Economist at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research since 1988. Bart van Ark earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Groningen.
