Lex Kumar is a dedicated law student at Tulane University Law School, set to graduate with a Doctor of Law (JD) in May 2024. Currently, Lex serves as a Moot Court Competitor for Tulane's Thurgood Marshall Appellate Moot Court Team, achieving recognition for winning the Best Respondent Brief at the 2022 NBLSA Appellate Moot Court Competition. As a Junior Member of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, Lex is preparing for a published Case Note. Additional roles include Research Assistant for Professor Robert Westley, Summer Law Clerk at Porter Hedges LLP, Legal Intern at The Promise of Justice Initiative, Law Clerk for the Tulane University Legal Assistance Program, and Research Fellow focusing on legal implications stemming from the 2003 blackouts. Lex's previous experience includes positions as a Legal Assistant at Creighton & Rose, PC, a Book Seller at Powell's Books, and an Editorial Freelancer for Bloomsbury USA. Academic credentials extend beyond law, with a Master's in Art & Politics from Goldsmiths, University of London, an M.A. in Media Studies from The New School, and a B.A. in Art History from Boston University.
