Erik Tamas is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience across several industries, including manufacturing and service. Currently at Protectoseal since September 2016, Erik specializes in creating and revising 3D CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks, as well as managing BOMs and routings in ERP software. Previous roles include Mechanical Engineer at HOERBIGER, where responsibilities included creating BOMs in SAP and providing technical support, and Design Engineer at Tuthill Corporation, where Erik led new product development and collaborated with design and manufacturing teams. Erik also served as Assistant Mechanical Engineer at the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District, Process Engineer at Palatine Welding Company, and gained initial research experience as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
