Lawrence Price

Psychiatrist at The Providence Center

A renowned researcher, Dr. Price has published nearly 450 scientific papers and was identified by the Institute for Scientific Information as one of the top ten authors of high-impact papers in psychiatry from 1990 to 1999. He is a distinguished fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and a fellow of the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology. He has received numerous awards for his teaching, mentoring, and clinical work, and is editor of the Brown University Psychopharmacology Update, an editor of the scientific journal Psychopharmacology, and editor (with I. Stolerman) of the Encyclopedia of Psychopharmacology, Second Edition.

Dr. Price earned a B.S. with high distinction and highest honors in psychology at the University of Michigan, followed by an MD at the same institution. He then completed an internship in internal medicine at Norwalk Hospital in affiliation with Yale University, followed by residency in the Department of Psychiatry at Yale and fellowship at Yale-New Haven Hospital.
