Allison Mahurin is a Lactation Consultant, IBCLC, and Registered Nurse with extensive experience in lactation support and education. Since January 2017, Allison has operated a private practice, Allison Mahurin IBCLC, offering in-home lactation assistance. Additionally, Allison has been affiliated with The Pump Station & Nurtury® since June 2016, serving as an IBCLC and Infant Specialist. Prior to this, Allison worked as a Certified Lactation Education Counselor and Newborn Care Specialist while self-employed from 2013 to 2016. Early career experience includes a role as a Registered Nurse at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center from 2006 to 2008. Educational qualifications include an IBCLC Certification from UC San Diego, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Mount Saint Mary's University, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of California, Berkeley.

Parents and babies come through our doors every day to access the huge selection of products we now carry, and to attend classes that range from prenatal breastfeeding and baby care to baby signing and infant CPR. They also come for expert breastfeeding help by attending one of our breastfeeding support groups for new mothers, seeing one of our lactation consultants, or discussing breastfeeding issues with our trained staff. Our goal remains the same today as when we opened a more than a quarter of a century ago.
